Day 1: Matusadona National Park

Arrive at Harare International Airport. This afternoon you will enjoy a guided game drive to introduce you to the wildlife and abundant bird life of this enchanting national park. Return to your preferred lodge for dinner and overnight. (L,D)

Day 2: Matusadona National Park

After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore the park on foot and by vehicle. You will be able to see different wildlife such as huge elephant populations and one of the last remaining sanctuaries of the endangered Black Rhino. Other common species include the night ape, honey badger, civet, small spotted genet, slender mongoose, banded mongoose, spotted hyena, wild cat, lion, leopard, yellow spotted dassie, black rhinoceros, zebra, warthog, common duiker, grysbok, klipspringer, waterbuck, bushbuck, scrub hare, porcupine, vervet monkey, baboon, side-striped jackal, hippopotamus, antelope, kudu and bush squirrel. Some of the more elusive species include: clawless otter, white-tailed mongoose, reedbuck, sable antelope, eland, civet, rusty spotted genet, caracal and bush pig.

Return to your preferred lodge for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Lake Kariba

On this day you will visit Lake Kariba. A boat trip opens up a whole new range of photographic possibilities as you see the animals from an entirely different perspective. Fishing in Matusadona is quite an experience and if you are up for this, you will be shown how to catch Kariba’s famous tigerfish with the help of a fishing guide.

Return to your preferred lodge for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Departure

You will enjoy an early morning game drive in the park, return to your lodge for breakfast and return transfer by boat to the airstrip for your flight to Harare.
