Established in 2004, the Nile Porch Lodge and the adjacent Black Lantern Restaurant is a  luxury semi-tented accommodation. Situated in Jinja, the lodge emphasizes and environmentally friendly atmosphere and thus many amenities such as hot water and eventually lighting are powered by solar energy. There is a plethora of interesting flora and fauna around the accommodation as well as different animals such as porcupines, mongoose, vervet monkeys.

Accommodation:

The  accommodation comes in two categories; 2 Family Units and 8 Semi-Tented  Bandas. The Family units are two bedroom units with a shared bathroom and it consists of a master bedroom (1 double bed) and a smaller bedroom (3 single bunk beds). There is also a lounge and a porch area. The Family units overlook the swimming pool. Meanwhile the semi-tented bandas have been positioned to maximize on privacy and allow uninterrupted views of the Nile River. The semi-tented  bandas consist of a double bed and a single bed as well as a private porch.
